Self-Pleasure for Hormone Balance

It’s no secret that stress and cortisol directly impact your hormone balance and overall well being. When you prioritize your pleasure, you improve your health and beauty.

In addition, the orgasms and sexual pleasure you experience on a regular basis affects you in areas that no one really talks about – your self-confidence, your motivation, and how satisfied you feel with your life.

For many women, self-pleasure is not often a priority– and when they do self-pleasure, it usually centers around using a vibrator or their hand to briefly stimulate the clitoris to achieve one (or multiple) peak orgasms.

It’s true that this is fun and enjoyable! However, self-pleasuring in this way rarely enhances your life in a long-lasting, meaningful way.

When I coach women to self-pleasure with intention, I help them to use their sexual energy to fuel their life, unleash their gifts and purpose into the world, and of course, experience deeply fulfilling intimacy.

When you self-pleasure with the intention of exploring and deepening your connection with yourself, you will begin to know and appreciate your body on a more intimate level.

You’ll release shame, limiting beliefs, and experience immense self-love! In addition, intentional self-pleasure opens the doorway to sexual freedom and pleasure beyond what you’ve ever imagined.

So, how do you self-pleasure for personal transformation & optimal hormone balance?

  1. Set an intention for your self-pleasure. Before you begin touching yourself, take some deep breaths, place a hand on your heart, and set an intention such as self-acceptance, self-love, or gentleness. Decide to nourish yourself and be completely present during this time. In addition, remove the goal of orgasm! By approaching self-pleasure with the intention to connect with and explore yourself, you will create space to experience new pathways of pleasure and orgasm.

  1. Whole-body massage. Give attention to your entire body– especially your breasts, hips, and inner thighs. Really spend time warming yourself up and visualize infusing love into your body with your hands. Breathe slow and deep while you do this.

  1. Go inside. After massaging your body, give attention to your vulva and pubic area. You can stimulate your clitoris but avoid making this the end-goal of your self-pleasure. If and when your vagina is ready (meaning she is wet, open, and feels ready for penetration), explore the inside. Using your hand or a non-vibrating wand, massage all throughout the inside of your yoni.

The simple act of touching yourself internally may bring up emotion for you.

Be gentle and patient with yourself– take note of what you feel. It’s normal to feel numbness, pain, tension, and/or pleasure inside your vagina. Simply explore her and express love to her. 

The more time and attention you devote in your self-pleasure practice to exploring inside your yoni, the more you will awaken profound depths of pleasure and self-discovery. The inside of the yoni holds deep layers of emotion and wisdom– so when you explore and unlock this, you awaken powerful intuition and potential! 

Some keys to remember while you self-pleasure:

breathe deeply, maintain a loving intention, remove the goal of orgasm, and simply enjoy exploring your body!

If you’ve never self-pleasured in this way before, it is likely that you will experience immediate, profound shifts in your relationship with yourself and how you show up in the world. Your sexual relationship with yourself can and should be an ongoing journey of discovery and self-actualization.
