"Releasing Blocks" is Counterproductive
The notion of "releasing" & removing tension or blocks in the body is often met with the view that "this must be eradicated because it is not serving me."
But the issue with this perspective is that it causes us to inherently resist what we are trying to release.
When we want something gone, we are in resistance to it.
The way to integrate trauma or energetic blocks is through full presence & absolute acceptance. Fully FEELING & welcoming what is there.
But again when we try to bring presence to something while at the same time wishing it to be gone - it tends to stay.
The key is to realize that you are not "better" or "worse" off for releasing something or not.
It is only the mind that creates right/wrong & better/worse.
The truth is that every block or pattern, even if it appears to "not be serving," has at one point served you. Otherwise it wouldn't exist to begin with.
Eg. Your body is holding on to tension & stress for you because at some point you didn't have the capacity to be present to a particular emotional trigger.
Eg. You developed a personality pattern so that your young nervous system wouldn't become overwhelmed by trauma/information that it couldn't process.
Again we don't release old programs or trauma by trying to eradicate them.
We INTEGRATE them by giving them NEW information & giving the original traumas the high-quality attention they need.
This high quality attention is complete acceptance of WHAT IS, now. With no intention or need for it to be different.
Let the mind do its thing as it tries to run on about what is right/wrong, and as it tries to "solve" life.
Yet stop *identifying* with what the mind is telling you.
This full immersion into the present moment & the dis-identification with the stories of the mind leads to not only the integration of the traumas that we are all trying to "release"...
It leads to awakening to who/what we truly are.
